Job Details:

This position is responsible for providing analytical support by way of conducting research on various insurance companies’, plans benefits, claims adjudication and authorization requirements within the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and neighboring Gulf Coast Countries (GCC) with the goal of providing on-going up-to-date information to all areas within the Revenue Cycle

Duties and Responsibilities:

Identifies key point of contact for each major insurance program
Informs decision-making by providing an analysis of options regarding which payers CCAD will contract with that will allow for maximum revenue realization.
Develops a clear outline or map of adjudication requirements by insurance plan
Develops a clear outline or map of eligibility and authorization requirements for covered/non-covered service or benefit
Develops a database that identify exclusions whether or not a service or procedure is reimbursable or not and which are requiring pre-authorization in order to reduce claims denial for CCAD
Understands environment surrounding insurance current practices in the UAE, highlight risks and opportunities
Assists in drafting payer contracts and support contract negotiations
Develops self-pay pricing model for both local and international patients
Works closely with CDM analyst to ensure alignment of chargeable versus non-chargeable procedures, supplies, DRGs
Develops training content and materials to be provided to Patient Access, Billing and Physician staff to ensure compliance
Assists with other projects as needed

Experience:

Minimum of three (3) years of progressive work experience in the area of contracting or analysis is preferred
Experience in healthcare preferred but not required
Knowledge of financial systems and reporting processes
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office applications including but not limited to Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio and Word
Must have the ability to work on multiple projects concurrently
Strong attention to details
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong presentation skills
Comfortable working in both individual and team settings
Ability to speak and write in English is required
Ability to speak and write in Arabic is preferred
Health care industry experience is preferred

Education Requirements:

Job Details:

The position of Charge Description Master Analyst is responsible for the analysis and maintenance of Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi’s (CCAD) Charge Description Master (CDM) database to optimize revenue generation and ensure compliance with Health Authority of Abu Dhabi’s (HAAD) coding guidelines and regulatory standards. This position necessitates the timely review of regulatory guidelines and the implementation of changes when necessary to ensure the integrity of CCAD’s CDM.

Ensures proper maintenance of the CDM and related charge capture processes
Reviews and implements (when necessary) internal requests to update or modify charge codes or descriptions
Monitors the CDM to ensure compliance with HAAD’s initiatives
Validates correctness of CCAD’s system CPT/HCPCS, ICD-9 or ICD-10 or any other healthcare codes and descriptions in place in the United Arab Emirates.
Performs periodic analysis of CPT and HCPCS, DRGs, ICD-9 or ICD-10 or any other healthcare codes and reflects changes that need to be made to the CDM
Ensures that all impacted hospital systems are appropriately updated when changes are implemented in the CDM
Serves as a resource when necessary for billing and reimbursement issues

Coordinates with Clinic Administrators and/or clinicians Patient Access, Billing & Coding departments to identify trends and address issues related to appropriate charge capture

Experience:

Minimum two (2) years of recent experience in a health care setting (clinic or hospital) is desired.

Knowledge of coding systems used in healthcare

Knowledge of medical terminology

• Performs on-site training for physicians and other personnel that might interact with CCAD medical and clinical equipment
• Provides detailed feedback for product improvement for existing products
• Advises medical device producers regarding prospective design improvements based on clinical experiences
• Supports other personnel with clinical engineering knowledge

Experience:

• Minimum of three to five (3-5) years experience in an information systems or clinical environment is required
• Minimum of two (2) years of hands-on operational experience working in technology delivery is required
• Knowledge of PC operating systems and desktop support is preferred
• Knowledge of networking concepts of cortication is preferred
• Experience with complex medical devices and equipment
• Knowledge of organizational development, team management and technical, medical and financial subjects
• Demonstrated skill in word processing, spreadsheet and PC applications
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to speak and write in English is required
• Ability to speak and write in both English and Arabic is preferred
• Health care industry experience is preferred
