Schedules appointments, coordinates services and provides special instructions. Communicates scheduling information, instructions and directions. Captures referrals and cancellation reasons and physician data. Processes CCF Internet appointment scheduling requests. Validates and captures insurance coverage. Applies industry standard ranking rules for multiple insurances. Aligns correct insurance coverage with type of service provided. Monitors combined registration reports. Identifies patients in need of financial counseling to facilitate payment. Developes, evaluates and improves department procedures related to customer service and quality. Acts as a liaison for all patient/caller needs and problem resolution. Coordinates appropriate response to patient/caller service requests. Resolves scheduling difficulties between patient and CCF physicians. Liaison for outside referring physicians and facilities. Answers CCF physician hot-lines 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year and contacts appropriate CCF staff for outside physicians and facilities. Accesses multiple department/physician schedules to provide after-hours assistance with physician schedule cancellations and patient surgical cancellations. Schedules sign language interpreters for all main campus and FHC sites to ensure compliance with Title III of Americans with Disabilities Act. Maintains interpreter data on department log.
