Tests and monitors emergency generator and transfer equipment including daily rounds in equipment rooms. Monitors and responds to fire protection systems. Responds to all emergency calls. Other duties as assigned.<br/><br/>Education: High Shool Diploma or GED.<br/><br/>Experience: Minimum three years experience in the following areas: large water distribution systems, (chilled and hot water), cooling towers, air handling systems, building automation equipment and emergency generators.<br/><br/>Licensure/Certification/Registration: Completion of four year apprenticeship for Machinist, Electrician, HVAC Tech/Refrigeration, Stationary Engineer or Plumber/Pipe-Fitter or knowledge obtained through four years of on the job training as a mechanic.<br/><br/>Physical Requirements: Typical physical demands require full body motion including ability to perform work while bending, stooping, stretching, climbing ladders; requires dexterity and strength sufficient to operate required tools and machinery; typically required to lift and carry machinery and/or equipment weighing 25 to 100 lbs. and/or assist with lifting weights exceeding 100 lbs.
