Understands primary purpose of drugs used in IR, indications, contraindications, contrast drug interactions and major effects. Positions patient to obtain radiographic exposure, adjust exposure factors and process images. Uses professional judgement to adapt imaging and therapeutic procedures to improve diagnostic quality and therapeutic outcome. Knowledgeable in acquiring, archiving, transmitting, and printing images via PACS - when applicable, knowledgeable in after hours transmission of images and appropriate paperwork. Immediately reports any malfunctions to help desk and PACS Administrator. Knowledgeable in billing via RIS. Records and maintains procedural data to include injection data, elapsed fluoroscopic time and procedural information. Provides after hours standby call in service. Monitors equipment, systems, cleans equipment and effects timely repair. Performs teaching and instructional service to students and new hires. Summary: Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.

Job Responsibilities:

* Implements and monitors patient care plans.
* Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
* Monitors and documents patient's condition and effectiveness and timeliness of care and/or interventions; evaluates, updates and revises plan of care to facilitate achievement of planned and expected outcomes.
* Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
* Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing protocol.
* Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
* Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
* Assesses educational needs of the patient and significant others considering cultural issues and other special concerns.
* Provides teaching and educational material as appropriate.
* Validates and documents patient and family understanding of teaching.
* Maintains professional growth and development through ongoing formal and informal education and clinical nursing study.
* Other duties as assigned.

Education: Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing. BSN preferred.

Experience: Minimum one year RN experience preferred.

Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current state licensure as Registered Nurse (RN). Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification in all areas or successful completion of Basic Life Support (BLS) in new hire period. For critical care areas need Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification in Critical Care or must obtain same within first year of employment.

Physical Requirements: Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patient, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination. Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. Requires working under stressful conditions and irregular hours. Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids. Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.

Summary:
Responsible for the implementation and conduct of multiple research project(s). Provides nursing care to patients enrolled on studies and maintains continual assessment of patient response to novel therapies.

Job Responsibilities:
Implements and conducts multiple research projects in a timely and efficient manner. Develops, implements and evaluates patient recruitment strategies for effectiveness. Screens and assigns patients to appropriate research trials. Coordinates entire patient treatment schedule with appropriate internal and external personnel and entities to accomplish and maintain compliance of research protocol requirements. Provides nursing care to patients enrolled in studies and assists with procedures as needed. Duties may include, but not limited to, study drug administration, initiation of peripheral IV, venipuncture and specimen procurement procedures. Develops training materials and conducts education of physician and nursing staff on specifics of the protocol, study design and investigational therapeutic agents, devices, procedures and/or techniques. Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred

Experience:
Three years of relevant clinical experience or relevant research experience required as appropriate for application of role

Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current state licensure as an RN. Within 90 days, must successfully complete certification in Human Subjects Research as required by the Responsible Conduct of Research guidelines adopted by the Cleveland Clinic.

Summary: Assists with coordination and administration of the patient care.
