Summary:

Under the direction of the Director, Project Management Office (PMO), the Project Manager is responsible for the effective management of relevant department and workstream operation(s) data across the organization. Key job duties include leading the development of deliverables to timely completion and managing key projects within clinical and non-clinical operations. The position interfaces with all levels of management and leadership both internal and external to Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi.

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Leads projects and efforts alongside functional area leaders (Directors, Administrators, etc.) to develop content, project deliverables, and other assigned work products
* Identifies risk & issues and develops recommendations in collaboration with senior leadership
* Interfaces with other Project Managers to ensure work is coordinated across all departments and workstreams within the organization
* Manages changes, reporting, communication for the PMO
* Oversees project work plan progress and timelines, assesses implications of plan changes and identifies issues for further escalation
* Provides project management support to departments and other CCAD projects as assigned, to include implementation of project management methodology, operations (processes, procedures, etc.), performance metrics and communications, and successful management of project managers and teams across various functional areas to allow for successful, on-time project plan execution
* Defines and develops projects thoroughly, including scope, objectives, work plans, milestones, resource requirements and deliverables
* Provides content / subject matter expertise in supporting departments and other CCAD projects as assigned
* Provides accurate, timely information to the PMO Director related to Program status
* Provides direction to other PMO project managers and analysts, as required
* Develops recommendations and content for project presentations and reports to CC Senior Executives and business partners
* Monitors resource utilization
* Interfaces closely with executive and physician leadership to engage resources, review project documents, obtain feedback and provide status updates

Experience:

* At least ten (10) years of experience in a healthcare operations environment is required, with a minimum of five (5) years of experience directly related to project management focusing on various functional areas, including clinical and non-clinical operations. Two (2) years of healthcare fellowships in complex healthcare organizations (e.g., academic medical centers) may apply to the minimum ten (10) year experience requirement
* Strong ability to effectively manage project managers and teams across various functional areas
* Proven track record of successfully implementing large, complex projects in the healthcare sector
* Experience in interfacing with senior management
* Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools and best practices
* High proficiency with standard computer software programs, including Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project
* Strong oral and written communication skills
* Ability to speak and write in English is required
* Healthcare industry experience is required

Education Requirements:

* Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration, or related field, is required
* Master’s degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration, or related field, is preferred
* Project management certification is preferred

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

* Typical physical demands include: a high degree of manual dexterity to sufficiently perform computer functions on a keyboard, produce materials on a PC and operate basic office equipment, normal or corrected vision and hearing, extensive sitting and/or walking, mobility sufficient to visit with departments or employees throughout CCAD and lift up to 30 lbs.
