Job Details: Summary:
This position is responsible for establishing, evaluating and enhancing professional standards within CCAD’s police and security departments.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Audits and makes recommendations for improvement of the internal systems of the police and security departments
* Ensures that position vacancies within the department are identified and that all processes associated with filling vacant positions are placed in motion
* Conducts and administers the internal investigation process
* Reviews performance evaluations and ensures that measures are implemented to improve performance when appropriate
* Identifies measures to be implemented to reduce motor vehicle accidents
* Participates in developing and achieving comprehensive and measurable goals and objectives for the department
* Develops, implements and monitors metrics to measure goal achievement and departmental performance
* Works with other CCAD departments to promote world class service initiatives
Experience:
* Minimum of two to four (2-4) years security and/or law enforcement experience, preferably in a health care environment, is required
* Minimum of two (2) years management/leadership experience is preferred
* Strong analytical skills to coordinate investigations and evaluate information and evidence
* Strong oral and written communication skills
* Ability to speak and write in English is required
* Ability to speak and write in both English and Arabic is preferred
* Health care industry experience is preferred
Education Requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice or Law Enforcement, or related field, is required
* Current certification as a law enforcement officer is required
* Six Sigma Certification desired (Green Belt Level)
* Typical physical demands include: a high degree of manual dexterity to sufficiently perform computer functions on a keyboard, produce materials on a PC and operate basic office equipment, normal or corrected vision and hearing, psychological fitness required to deal with stress and potentially dangerous conflict situations, physical strength and stamina sufficient to chase, apprehend and subdue criminal suspects, assist medical staff in restraining combative patients and medical emergencies, extensive sitting and/or walking, mobility sufficient to visit with departments or employees throughout CCAD and lift up to 30 lbs.
