Summary: Conceptualizes, plans, implements and directs the provisions of pharmaceutical care throughout specific assigned service areas and patient care locations. Job Responsibilities: Coordinates all health care providers involved in the medication use system and delivery of pharmaceutical care, ensuring consistent application throughout the organization. Ensures the quality and cost effectiveness of departmental operations and patient care services throughout the assigned service areas or patient care locations. Develops, facilitates and, as needed, coordinates the implementation of specific operational and clinical initiatives for all CCHS hospitals within their respective areas of responsibility. Other duties as assigned. Education: Advanced degree (Pharm.D. M.S. M.B.A.) and preferably residency trained.
Experience: Minimum 5 years of progressively more responsible leadership positions. Experience in a large tertiary care academic medical center preferred. Demonstrated record of innovation and excellence within respective area of pharmacy practice management. Active in local, state and national pharmacy professional organizations. Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Licensure/Certification/Registration: Pharmacy license in the state of Ohio; BCPS or other board certification preferred. Physical Requirements: Normal physical demands include a high degree of dexterity to produce materials on a PC, normal or corrected vision, extensive sitting for prolonged periods of time, ability to clearly communicate verbally by phone and in person.
