Job Details: - Bachelors Degree Required
Summary: Organizes and maintains technical operations. Evaluates and purchases outside services, essential supplies and repair parts of biomedical equipment.
Job Responsibilities: Provides engineering support, preventative maintenance, evaluation of equipment, computer software and instrumentation for assigned areas. Maintains documentation of equipment, inventory, maintenance agreement, service and repair logs. Coordinates computer software upgrades and new purchases of clinical computer systems for the Electrophysiology Labs. May lead projects and iniatives within assigned work group. Creates, modifies or customizes systems, components and mountings to support clinical operations. Other duties as assigned.
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering.
Experience: Three years medical equipment, bench and field repair experience.
Licensure/Certification/Registration: Certified Clinical Engineer preferred.
Physical Requirements: Typical physical demands include ability to lift up to 25 lbs. Sufficient manual dexterity to use tools and work on small mechanical parts. Visual acuity sufficient to distinguish between colors used for wire color coding and read finely printed blueprints and schematics.
