Summary: Responsible for the direct personnel management, supervision and coordination of a team of application specialists, technical specialists and/or systems analysts for the maintenance, support and service activities of the mission critical systems to users of Imaging at the Cleveland Clinic. Directs and maintains responsibility for all system and application support activities for department. Assures adequate on-site support levels and communicates system change control process to all affected radiologists and diagnostic radiology technologist staff. The position requires interaction with vendor technical support personnel, field service engineers and implementation staff, both staff and non-staff clinical end-users and other service and administrative personnel. Responsible for personnel supervision of support personnel and activities, sets and prioritizes work assignments and schedules and evaluates support team members' performance.
Job Responsibilities: Promotes clear and consistent communication to the diagnostic radiology end-user community of the operational service and support directions relating to all Imaging applications. Responsible for problem identification, and resolution of all Radiology systems and applications. Develops and maintains system maintenance schedules for diagnostic radiology service deployed resources within the Cleveland Clinic. Develops, maintains, and reports to Senior Imaging Institute Management diagnostic radiology support service system or application installation project schedules. Development of diagnostic radiology support system maintenance, support documentation and policy development. In conjunction with the diagnostic radiology end user population, develop system enhancements or new application requests for reporting, prioritization, and approval by Senior Imaging Institute Management. Establish, implement and manage integrated service and support policies and procedures affecting diagnostic radiology end-user community. Coordinates diagnostic radiology end-user education and training schedules and requirements for the Cleveland Clinic. Development and execution of the support and maintenance structure for projects as they are brought into production including documentation, defining support tasks and user and analysts training programs. Supervises support personnel and activities, set and prioritize work assignments and schedules. Evaluate support team members' performance. Develops and maintain collaborative relationships with Professional Staff Section of Head of Informatics to develop and deliver related mission critical system access or applications to diagnostic radiology end-user population. Other duties as assigned.
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field required. Master's Degree preferred. Experience required includes knowledge of advanced system design, programming techniques, project management and tasks.
Experience: Minimum six years experience in managing IS application development projects and/or system implementation. Must have working knowledge of RIS, PACS, and IT systems along with an understanding of Radiology terminology and clinical workflow. Experience in working with business users to establish business requirements and set expectations regarding project delivery dates. Minimum two years personal management experience required. Some travel is required.
Licensure/Certification/Registration: None Physical Requirements: Normal or corrected vision to normal range. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Use of basic office equipment. Must be available after hours for support by pager and computer dial-in.
