Summary:

Manages overall project deliverables on programs varying in complexity and strategic importance. Manages the project budget, schedule, scope, quality and risk to achieve business objective. Analyzes project performance timeline and dependencies; implements corrective actions. Manages project work plan, resolves project issues, mitigates strategies for project risks and manages project resources. Provides proactive project communications to the project owner. Participates in development of strategies, performance metrics, tools, communications, processes, governance, and guiding principles.

Specifically, this role is intended to program manage the deployment of an Enterprise Information Management capability by implementing governance, and appropriate policies and technology to collect, process, and condense the traditional and emergent information that the enterprise produces based upon established prioritization criteria. This program adds structure and context to data content in order to increase its value, minimize data-quality issues, and maximize efficiency and reuse. Byproducts include reduction in costs and legal issues, improved compliance, better information access, and value creation for the business.

Job Responsibilities:

Collaborates with managers and director in the definition of project. Define Project requirements according to management established standards; scope, schedule, resources, budget, deliverables. Construct project plans and monitor work plans. Define and execute project planning process and collaborates with project leads to standardize process across organization. Other duties as assigned.

Participates in enterprise-, department- or group-wide information management projects. Participate in data repository, e-mail archiving, and records management projects while driving the requirements discussion about information access, retrieval, and policy development. Hire or contract for resources and supervise the systematic cataloging and retention work around legacy information stores, including offline media.

Create or use existing taxonomies, templates and data models for efficient local management of information and link these where possible to any master data management efforts taking place in the company. Work with master data management (MDM), content management (CM), records management and business process management (BPM) systems.

Work with the Enterprise Information Architect and others to ensure that local data and content stores conform to the uniform and consistent identifiers, formats and protocols necessary for sharing and exchanging enterprise information (including structured and unstructured sources). Work with data modelers to help specify master data descriptions that work across structured and unstructured information stores.Engage DBA's storage area network (SAN) administrators to coordinate the physical storage requirements.

Conduct business unit-specific document and data inventories and document the businesses processes around them. Work with business units to create templates and document metadata that allows lifecycle management of content. Work with user groups, legal, compliance and finance departments to create and implement retention and destruction policies. Work within business units as a domain expert, a process owner or business analyst, and an information manager.

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Management, Management Information Systems, or related degree. Masters degree preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of industry standard technologies and applications.

Major business unit experience, such as financial management, clinical operations, or healthcare quality, and exposure to IT that enables the development of taxonomies for information classification, search and retrieval, to conduct document and content inventories and ensure that existing information is properly managed and to detail the appropriate life cycle of information artifacts is preferred. General knowledge of legal matters, contracting, records management, procurement or financial domain expertise is key. Proven ability to communicate effectively and gather requirements from users in business unit and executive levels. Experience developing policies for information lifecycle management is also key.

Experience:

A minimum of four years project management experience is required working in an organization that is similar to the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in size, structure and type, 5 years of senior level IT experience preferred. Minimum of three years experience working in a technical environment similar to the Cleveland Clinic Health Systems in size and complexity. Experience with full scoping, requirements analysis, implementation, training, and ongoing maintenance of an unstructured content management system is essential (e.g., web content, records management, document imaging and workflow, e-mail archiving). Need proficient experience with the technology tools that accompany these types of endeavors (other than office productivity).

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

Project management certification PMI or equivalent required. Professional qualifications or equivalent training in law, human resource management or financial accounting degrees, certificates and experience are what most often translate into information management skills. Library and information science, records management or archival science are also applicable.

Physical Requirements:

Requires frequent sitting and standing, normal or corrected vision and manual dexterity sufficient to perform work on a personal computer. Requires the ability to walk to various locations and function in a stressful environment. Travel between locations within the system required.
