JOB SUMMARY: Designs and applies standard computer programs for statistical data collection, analysis, evaluation and graphical presentation. Creates customized computer programs for general use and specific projects.Develops and maintains code for emerging statistical techniques in one or more languages.
Job Responsibilities:Under the direction of supervisor or mentor, drafts basic statistical program according to parameters and sample code; interprets biostatistics, epidemiological or general research results; assembles data from multiple sources, resolves data programs and performs general data management tasks. Test, repair, and maintain hardware and software for laptops.First line of support for computer equipment and conference room technology. Assists with technical support. Other duties as assigned.
Education:Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field. Associates Degree and 2 years of experience may offset degree requirement. Knowledge of Web techniques and basic programming is preferred.
Required Experience: One year of experience in systems administration, software and hardware support. Experience with statistical applications (e.g., SAS, R/S-PLUS, Stata) in a PC and/or mainframe environment. Demonstrated ability in areas of biostatistics/epidemiology/general research and/or database management. Experience in account administration, file server, print server, directory service and DHCP administration preferred.
