Job Details:
Summary: Installs, operates and maintains the organization's refrigeration systems.
Job Responsibilities: Maintains and repairs various refrigeration equipment systems in the kitchen, pharmacy, laboratory and medical patient units. Maintains and contributes to systems training manuals and upgrades as changes occur. Other duties as assigned. Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Four years of experience as a commercial air conditioning refrigeration technician, hospital experience preferred. One-year formal course work in refrigeration, air conditioning and air handling from an accredited vocational school may substitute for up to one-year experience. An Associate Degree in Environmental Technology from an accredited school may substitute for up to two years experience
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Licensure/Certification/Registration: Certification may be required based on trade.
Physical Requirements: Typical physical demands require full body motion including ability to perform work while bending, stooping, stretching, climbing ladders; requires dexterity and strength sufficient to operate required tools and machinery; typically required to lift and carry machinery and/or equipment weighing 25 to 100 lbs. and/or assist with lifting weights exceeding 100 lbs. Requires color acuity sufficient to distinguish color-coded wiring and piping.
