Your application will be reviewed for RN Clinical Coordinator positions for locations at Cleveland Clinic Main Campus and Community Hospitals for full-time, part-time and PRN positions

Summary: With guidance of the nurse manager/physician, provides nursing care to a specified patient population. Oversees RNs, LPNs and other patient care providers to ensure quality of care. Anticipates and resolves patient care issues. May participate in the annual personnel reviews. Monitors daily clinical operations of outpatient clinics (patient flow, staffing, supplies, etc.).

Job Responsibilities: Oversees nursing personnel and patient care providers in clinical setting. Coordinates activities to ensure quality patient care. Anticipates and resolves patient care issues. Provides professional nursing care to a specified patient population. Assesses patients, completes focused physical exam. Notifies physician of abnormal findings. Collaborates with interdisciplinary care team to coordinate clinical care. Identifies cost effective ways to maximize wellness, prevent illness, disability and disease. Initiates CPR and other emergency measures. Administers medications and treatments as ordered by a physician. Monitors patient response to treatment. Assists with specialized patient care equipment, diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Provides health education to patients and families. Evaluates, adapts and documents education to learning needs and abilities of patients or families. Assists in the perparation of the department specific education for patients and colleagues. Other duties as assigned.

Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. BSN preferred. Demonstrates knowledge of multiple disease processes and integrates this knowledge into the care of the specific patient population.

Experience: Four years of clinical nursing experience and demonstrated clinical competence required. Previous management experience may substitute for one year of clinical experience. Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, decision-making and conflict resolution skills required.

Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current valid state RN license.

Physical Requirements: Requires full range of motion, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. Requires corrected hearing and vision to normal range. May requires some exposure to communicable diseases or bodily fluids. Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of forcefrequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
