Cleveland Clinic Nursing Recruitment team uses general interest requisitions to allow you to apply to areas of interest.

You must have at least 2 (two) years of related experience to apply for this area of interest.

This general interest requisition will allow you to apply for Cardiac Cath Lab or EP Lab opportunities that may be open at the the Cleveland Clinic Main Campus.

Minimum two years critical care experience focusing on cardiovascular, cardiopulmonary and/or emergency medicine. One year previous cardiac cath lab experience may substitute for required two years critical care experience.

Summary: Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.

Job Responsibilities: Works with radiation emitting equipment and wear appropriate protective covering. Ability to assume on-call responsibilities upon completion of orientation. Recognizes and responds to emergencies accordingly. Circulates during diagnostic and interventional procedures and enters data as required in departmental databases. Prepares and/or directs and verifies proper preparation and assembly of specialized procedural equipment. Removes arterial/venous sheaths post interventional and diagnostic procedures utilizing appropriate analgesia and demonstrates good judgement and skills during unforeseen situations (ie vasovagal reaction, hematoma). Administers procedural/conscious sedation (per Cleveland Clinic policy) under the direction of a staff physician for all types of diagnostic and interventional procedures. Other duties as assigned.

Education: Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing. BSN preferred.

Experience: Minimum two years critical care experience focusing on cardiovascular, cardiopulmonary and/or emergency medicine. One year previous cardiac cath lab experience may substitute for required two years critical care experience.

Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current state licensure as an RN.ACLS and BCLS certification.

Physical Requirements: Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting of patients, manual and finger dexterity and eye/hand coordination. Requires normal or corrected vision and hearing to normal range. Requires some exposure to x-rays, may require working with some exposure to communicable diseases or body fluids. Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time.

Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
