This position is for RN Department positions at the Main Campus. All external and internal applicants are encouraged to apply to this position.
Summary: Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.Serves as primary contact for specified group of patients.
Job Responsibilities: Implements and monitors patient care plans. Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate. Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care Follows patient along continuum of care. Serves as primary contact for specified patient population for health care team. Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team. Other duties as assigned.
Education: Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred.
Experience: Minimum four years current clinical experience in ambulatory or hospital care setting.
Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current state licensure as an RN. Certification in nursing speciality strongly preferred.
Physical Requirements: Requires full range of motion; manual and finger dexterity and eye hand coordination. Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time. Requires corrected hearing and vision to normal range. Requires some exposure to communicable diseases or bodily fluids. Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of forcefrequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
