Summary: Evaluates and treats patients with injuries or diseases which result in loss or impairment of speech, language, voice, cognitive and/or swallowing function. Job Responsibilities: Performs initial and on-going assessments of patient's condition and establishes goals and plan of care. Performs therapy interventions utilizing standard speech therapy techniques and skills as appropriate for the age and condition of the patient. Completes documentation to comply with department, hospital, and regulatory standards. Other duties as assigned.
** Please note that this PRN position requires experience and Certificate of Clinical Competence (completion of Clinical Fellowship).
Education: Masters level degree required. Must be a graduate of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology Program.
Experience: Experience in Clinical area Preferred. Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current Ohio Licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Must hold or have applied for the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Pathology from American Speech-Language Hearing Association. Physical Requirements: Manual dexterity and visual acuity to perform tasks needed for patient care and administrative tasks. Ability to stand for long periods of time
