Summary: Coordinates and manages accreditation activities throughout the organization to ensure compliance with accreditation standards.
Job Responsibilities: Coordinates accreditation activities and programs including the survey readiness programs Continual Readiness Rounds, Patient System Tracer and Point of Care Testing. Assists the Assistant Director with various issues related to accreditation procedures and continuous readiness. Coordinates focused audits and serves as a resource on accreditation and compliance issues. Hires and supervises the Accreditation Nurses/POCT Program Managers. Monitors employee performance, sets goals and conducts annual performance reviews. Develops and implements strategies to ensure compliance with accrediting agencies. Provides communication and education to staff regarding accrediting and internal standards, policies and procedures. Other duties as assigned.
Education: BSN required. Bachelor's degree in a health care-related field with strong clinical background in acute care/ambulatory care settings/lab. Master's degree in a related field preferred.
Experience: Minimum of five years acute hospital/ambulatory/lab experience. Minimum of two years managerial experience required.
Licensure/Certification/Registration: None.
Physical Requirements: Manual dexterity to operate office equipment. Ability to lift and transport up to 15 pounds. Requires extended periods of standing, walking and sitting. Normal or corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
