- Registered Nurse (RN)
- 3-5 years experience preferred

GENERAL SUMMARY: Responsible for ongoing development, implementation, and evaluation of Hospice of the Cleveland Clinic Program to anticipate and meet the challenges of the changing health care environment. Is responsible for all aspects of the clinical operations of the Hospice Program to include fiscal responsibility and accountability, policy and procedures, staffing of the clinical components of the hospice program to effectively meet the need of the patient and family.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Bachelor’s or graduate level degree in nursing required.

Demonstrates strong leadership skills.

Demonstrates excellent communication skills.

Demonstrates excellent problem solving skills.

Demonstrates excellent organizational and time management skills.

Ability to work independently.

Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Two or three years of oncology or critical care experience required.

Required Length and Type of Experience

Previous Hospice Management experience of 3-5 years preferred.

Required Licensure, Certification or Registry

Licensure and current registration in the State of Ohio as a Registered Nurse.

Current CPR certification required

Must obtain the Hospice and Palliative Care Nurse Certification within three years of hire date (required for full and part time employees only)

Required Physical and Environmental Demands

Must be ambulatory and able to travel to patient’s home.

Must be able to climb stairs, pull, push, and facilitate movement of the patient.

Must have correctable vision.

Must have correctable hearing to be able to hear normal conversations.

Must be able to work in settings with infectious diseases.

Must present a professional appearance at all times.
