Summary: Coordinates the implementation and conducts of multiple research projects. Oversees administration of multi-site research studies. Coordinates execution of assigned protocols in accordance with research governing entity requirements. Develops training and educational material for assigned research protocols. Orients, educates and trains appropriate personnel and research subjects.
Job Responsibilities: Collaborates with primary investigator, sponsor and research staff to plan, conduct and evaluate project protocols. Monitors and reports on progress of projects as necessary. Assists with the recruitment, selection and monitoring of research project participants. Manages the handling of adverse events, compliance and other participant-related issues. Coordinates the preparation and delivery of departmental communications, presentations and marketing or educational materials. Collaborates to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and standards. Assists with responding to and preparing for audits. Other duties as assigned.
Education: Bachelor's Degree in health care related field preferred.
Experience: Minimum three years prior clinical research experience required.
Licensure/Certification/Registration: Within 90 days of hire, must successfully complete certification in Human Subjects Research as required by the Responsible Conduct of Research guidelines adopted by the Cleveland Clinic.
Physical Requirements: A high degree of dexterity to produce materials on a computer. Requires normal or corrected vision and hearing. Requires frequent data entry, sitting and walking, occasional lifting or carrying up to 25 pounds. May have some exposure to communicable diseases or body fluids. May require working irregular hours.
