Provides direct patient care based upon nursing assessment to patients who have a variety of medical and/or surgical conditions, from adolescent to geriatric, following established standards, department guidelines and hospital policies and procedures. Is responsible or using the nursing process, patient advocacy, maintenance of aseptic technique, medication administration, documentation of treatments and care, management of equipment, patient safety and monitoring of vital signs. Coordinates care with other disciplines related to patient education and care goals for discharge and optimal health status. Requirements: Registered Nurse, Active State of FL licensure. ACLS and BLS provider cards. One year in acute care setting preferred.
As part of the application process, a pre-hire assessment is given to external applicants applying to positions with Cleveland Clinic, excluding Medina Hospital applicants. The purpose of the assessment is to determine applicants’ fit with our Mission, Vision and Values.
We advise having 30-50 minutes of uninterrupted time to complete the assessment. Fully completed sections of the assessment can be saved; you can return to complete the assessment at a later time. You will have seven (7) calendar days to complete the assessment.
Applicants who do not take or complete the assessment will not be considered for employment. Results are held confidential by Cleveland Clinic and are active for 180 days.
